Oooh... Ahhh.... OUCH!

Pic07westernFireworks at the Alameda County Fair stirred up a ground nest of yellowjackets over the Fourth of July weekend. Nearly 100 people ranging in age from 6 months to 60 were treated for stings.

Thankfully, no one needed to be hospitalized for an allergic reaction.

I hate those things! My Why Trap has claimed several yellow jacket lives so far this season. Don't want to get stung again!

i have been using both the Rescue and the WHY traps for a little over two years in Western PA. my garden is full of and surrounded by choice nesting spots. these traps (6 of them now set around the perimeter of the tilled area) have been a total success story.

they DO get the queens early and later on literally hundreds of plain old nasty workers.

thanks for developing this product line.
it's super.

I have paper wasps. Literally dozens of workers foraging at any given time. I purchased your product and, following the instructions, put it to work 2 weeks ago. Nary one insect has made its way into the trap. I think I was just hopeful that some product would work. Another expensive lesson learned. Back to the old tried and true method of sunset search and destroy. Dangerous? yes, but much more effective than the W-H-Y trap. This leaves me with one question. W-H-Y did I waste my money?

I have a red wasp situation on my front porch. Their nests are behind vinyl siding and trim, but the wasps come on the outside. I've used similar traps for Japanese beetles with sucess, so I caughed up the $$ for WHY. I followed directions, and not a single red wasp has been trapped. You got me, going to try and get money back from Wal-Mart.

I found the wasps around my yard, much prefer Oriole nectar, or maple syrup as the attractant. I have to clean out the traps at least once a week in the fall
